Tonight's game ball went to Ryan. He was safely on base all four of his at-bats and had a huge defensive game. He assisted two outs at shortstop, and accounted for the third out in the same inning by smartly covering second. He also sucked up everything that came his way at pitcher and accounted for two more outs there.
Our entire defense tonight was excellent. I thought we'd be pretty rusty after our recent time off, but I'm pleased the boys proved me wrong. Everybody continues to make solid contact with the ball, and several Geckos are starting to get some very good distance with their hits.
