It was almost impossible to award a single game ball for yesterday's incredible effort by the Blue Sharks entire team. Rather than empty my ball bag, though, I had to single out the great effort displayed by Alek. He played some great defense and started it all off by stabbing a really hard line drive from the pitcher position, then continuing to defend the left side of the field throughout the whole game. His hitting continues to get better and better with each game. Last night, he consistently hit single after single after single, advancing his teammates around the bases and proving himself very reliable at the plate.
What a fun and exciting game we had last night. It was two very good teams going at each other, and the Sharks played as a team at a level higher than they've ever had.
