The Sharks' first game ball of the year goes to Michael. He was five-for-five at the plate, including two triples and a double. By my count, he had 11 RBIs. He had some key defensive plays to hold the other team.
It was very unusual to see a team hitting and fielding as well as ours this early in the season. I could have justified giving the ball to any of the boys. I was especially pleased to see the Sharks defense knocking down balls, throwing to the correct bases, and covering bases as appropriate. Everybody was also making very good contact with the ball at the plate.
